The Department of Biology Retreat took place on 14 August 2023, at the Regal Riverside Hotel in Shatin. The retreat allowed department members to take a break from their daily work and discuss ideas about the department's future in a relaxed setting.
Along with the 25 members of the department, Prof. Liu Jiming, Dean of the SCI, was also present as a guest speaker and shared an overview of the University and Faculty Research Strategy.
The retreat focused on two main topics, "teaching and learning" and "research strategy," and through open discussions, many ideas were shared that will contribute to the department's strategic direction in the upcoming year.
