Dr. Wai-yee Chan, Lecturer and Associate Programme Director – MSc in EPHM of the Department of Biology of Hong Kong Baptist University, and a group of students majoring in environmental sciences and biotechnology visited the ALS Technichem (HK) Pty Ltd at Kwai Chung in February. ALS provides a broad range of testing and analytical services to a wide variety of end markets and industries around the globe. Thanks to Ms. Ng, Laboratory Manager – Food & Pharmaceutical, and her colleagues for leading the teacher and students to visit the laboratory facilities and equipment and delivering a talk to introduce their services and market trends. The students are equipped with knowledge of the environmental, food and pharmaceutical testing markets of Hong Kong and experienced the working environment of one of the leading international laboratories in Hong Kong.
