HKBU-University of Lincoln (UoL) Double Degree Programme in Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Applied Biology (HKBU) and Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Ecology and Conservation (UoL)
Two degrees in 4 years:
HKBU - BSc (Hons) in Applied Biology
UoL - BSc (Hons) in Ecology and Conservation
This programme is jointly offered by the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) and the University of Lincoln, UK. In this “3+1” Double Degree programme, students studying in the Environmental Science concentration of the Applied Biology programme will study the first three years at HKBU to gain fundamental and advanced knowledge and skills in environmental science and management to address current and topical environmental and human health-related issues and problems, and study Year 4 at the University of Lincoln in its Ecology and Conservation programme. This will provide students with a firm grounding in the principles of ecology and conservation to address challenges pertaining to the conservation of biodiversity.
Eligibility
- All students enrolled in Year 3 of Applied Biology programme (Environmental Science Concentration) except senior year entrants
- cGPA ≥ 3.00 after semester 1 of Year 3
Tuition Fee
- No additional fee in Year 4
Scholarship
Each student accepted to the programme will receive a scholarship of HK$20,000

Choi Pik Wai, Fiona, 2022-23 Gradaute
“I had an unforgettable and fruitful year when I was in the UK. In the beginning, I was worried about adapting to the UK as it was the first time I had left my comfort zone in Hong Kong. Fortunately, all of my flatmates were very friendly. The first time they met me, they didn't treat me as a foreigner and warmly welcomed me to join them. I cherished the time spent with them. We often cooked together and had little chats about our daily chores. We all got along well, and we are still keeping in touch now.
Another thing I'm very grateful for is that I met a group of friends from Hong Kong in Lincoln. We accompanied and supported each other. It's comforting to have a group of friends who speak the same mother tongue.
Regarding my study, I appreciate the learning style in the UK because it emphasises on fostering student’s creativity and self-motivation rather than providing rigid guidelines to be followed.
In conclusion, my time in the UK was fruitful and meaningful and gained a lot of useful skills.”
