Currently, Dr. Zhang’s research focuses on uncovering the biological and physiological functions of NAD capping in E. coli and eukaryotic organisms. His innovative NAD-RNA profiling technique has enabled the detection of new NAD-RNA species that have significant functions. Dr. Zhang is employing various approaches to elucidate their critical roles, working closely with Prof. Yiji Xia and external collaborators.
