Dr. Sanjie Jiang obtained his PhD in Plant Sciences in 2018 from University of Cambridge UK. He then moved on to BGI Tech Shenzhen as Head of R&D before joining HKBU. Dr. Jiang’s research interests include plant gene regulation during development and biotic/abiotic stress by single-cell multi-omics and spatiotemporal omics analysis, medicinal plant genomics for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) research, with a particular interest in AI-driven big data analysis and interpretation. Dr. Jiang has published over 20 research articles in Nature, Nature Communications, Molecular plant, Plant Communications, JIPB, Nucleic Acids Research, and other journals.
