Dr Wu did his PhD in microbiology at Hong Kong Baptist University, studying the responses of indoor moulds to transient moisture conditions. Besides, he has been conducting research in aeromicrobiology, which investigates the mechanisms regulating airborne survival of microbes under various environmental conditions and application of disinfecting technologies.
Dr Wu always strives to apply basic science findings to tackle real-world problems. He has been involved in consultancy work and community services related to indoor air quality and indoor microbiology.
